Berry Smoothie... try it.

I'm on a new found mission to eat healthier. I seem to always be tired (Kylie contributes to this I'm sure) and I have a horrible sweet tooth. And I'm a sucker for a ice cold fountain drink. It's time for a change so I stocked up at the grocery store this week andwill be trying out a few new recipes to improve the veggie and fruit contents in our meals. Over the next few days I'm going to try making whole wheat pancakes, stir fry, spinach salad with tomatoes & feta, making fresh pico salsa and making semi-homemade tortilla chips (I know, so unlike me).

Here's my new favorite treat that I made up. Since Tamara is in no, way, shape or form much of a cook, and thinks creating new recipies is well... way beyond my skill level I've taken the opportunity to give it my own official name. Because I can. Baby steps right?

Kylie's Berry Yummy Smoothie
1 cup ice
1-2 cups frozen berries (rasberries, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries)
3-4 tbs vanilla yogurt
2-3 tbs pineapple juice (or any other juice would work)
2-3 tbs lime juice

Crush ice in blender, add remaining ingredients and blend till smooth. Garnish with frozen berries. Baby thinks it's pretty darn tasty too.

I often think I should eat healthier...it is hard to do sometimes! I do love whole wheat pancakes and homemade salsa, though! my sis-in-law just got back from a spanish speaking mission and gave us a kickin' salsa recipe! mmm.
way to go on the smoothie...that sounds yummy! I'll have to try it.

This smoothie doesn't have a raw egg in it! I thought that was always the magical ingredient in your cooking!! :) LOL!!! Love ya!
(Remember the mashed potatoes???)
