The munchkin

Kylie has been so good today!!! It's been nice after the past few days (she's been a handful!). I took her grocery shopping and was amazed how good she was for me. She was so well behaved, didn't whine, sat in the cart without screaming. I don't know what's gotten into her.

Since we got back from our trip her vocabulary has probably doubled itself. Where before she'd try parroting back a word for every 4-5 sentences we'd say, now she tries to say something for almost every sentence we say. She can now say cart, bathroom, diaper, home, Jaxon, button, juice, treat, cracker, grape, stop, please, out, bread, apple, cheese, weed, flower, tree, and many more that I can't think of at the moment. We are trying to work on the manners so she'll say "out please" or "juice please" when she would like something. Over the past few days I've started to give her some little chores to help out with. She take her diapers out to the trash (nice huh!), she'll pour the soap and oxyc.lean into the washing machine, and she'll empty the clothes out of the dryer and put them in the basket. She loves to help so I'll take advantage of that while I can!

I've been busy trying to work on some craft projects for Christmas gifts this year. I'm usually the queen of procrastination, but this year I'm trying to get everything done earlier than normal since I probably won't be feeling all ambitions by time I'm eight months along. Plus after doing a bunch of sewing it's jump started the craftiness in myself. I'm pretty handy at sewing, but haven't done it for years, and I do love to paint. Partly to practice, and partly because I've never attempted sewing a crib set before I decided to make one for my sister who just had her baby Ethan last week. It turned out pretty cute if you asked me. We went fabric shopping a few months ago and she purchased all the fabric and I put it together. Took WAAAAAAAAY longer than I expected it to. But we all thought it turned out cute! It makes me wish I had a black crib! Growing up as the granddaughter of a professional quilter I figured it's about time to whip out the sewing machine. Except now I've got all sorts of projects that I want to do now!

And here's the cutie as my model...

Wow, that is beautiful. Puts the 2 sets I made (one for each daughter, Abigail still uses hers on her toddler bed) to shame.
