The little ones had a BLAST trick or treating this year! Well, Kylie that is (cough cough).
Kylie was Ariel- she would correct at their door if they said anything about a mermaid.... she was ARIEL. Kipton squeezed into his costume from last year so he was a skeleton again. Kylie kept telling us that she wanted him to be a dinosaur, but he was a skeleton.
Kipton made it one street and quickly hit meltdown mode because he was more interested in inspecting a neighbors speakers they had outside playing Halloween music. Then he found a hose wheel at another neighbors that he thought was the most interesting thing ever and was clawing at me, arching his back to let him go. He was howling and screeching by then so we dumped him back home with dad and Kylie and I made the rounds.- I couldn't believe it- she lasted for two hours this year! I think the great weather we had this year helped. She filled her bucket an inch from the top just that one street before we dropped Kipton off. We emptied it on her bed before we headed out again and we came home with candy literally to the brim of her bucket again, with it practically spilling out of all our pockets.
When we got back they dumped all their loot in their shopping cart and feasted on their goodies all night. I'm a little more perplexed what to do this year with all the stuff they got since it was so much more than normal. I probably haven't mentioned this yet, but Kylie doesn't do very well hyped up on sugar. I know ALL kids kind of go nuts with sugar, but with Kylie it seems like it is amplified times ten. She'll be a sweet and a normal wild four year old little girl, and a half hour after ingesting a cupcake or two, or some candy its like all h*** breaks loose. Probably an exaggeration, but that's what it feels like. It's crazy how night and day the difference can be. So the all you can eat binge might not last too long :)
I'll try to get some pictures up as soon as I can get them off my computer. Taking pictures this year hasn't been fun. I literally can't get them to sit still, next to each other for the life of me. Kylie is willing to ham it up for me, but Kipton is so obsessed my my camera it's difficult to get anything except for a blur of a skeleton body moving towards me. Halloween was so much fun this year. It's my second favorite holiday, only surpassed by Christmas. Hope yours was fun as well!
