Well, the short story is that I made a fool of myself this weekend and fainted during our BIL's wedding ceremony.
On Friday we drove down first thing to my BIL's and new SIL's wedding at the Manti temple. We were running a little late, and it took us ten minutes longer to get to the temple than we were anticipating. By time we dropped off Kylie with Jared's cousin and changed into our clothes we arrived just as they were closing the doors. At that point it was standing room only.
The sealer spoke for awhile and then started the ceremony. We had been standing awhile and I was shifting the weight on my legs back and forth to keep the circulation going. I didn't notice the heat in the room at first, but the longer I stood the hotter I became and I was starting not to feel very good. I was holding hands with Jared and he whispered to me that my hand was really sweaty. I was feeling pretty crappy by that point and told him that I wasn't feeling well. He replied "Your not going to faint are you?" and I said no.
The next thing I know I'm waking up in a daydream haze with a few people bunched around me. I was pretty confused about what was going on and embarassed because they had stopped everything after I fainted. I've never had that happen before and we just confused about what was going on. Later that day Jared told me right after he looked back at the ceremony he felt my weigh shift to the side and down I went.
After I was able to come to my senses they had me sit down and I felt much better, but still kind of dazed by everything. Not five minutes after me, I heard kind of a whoosh and a flurry of commotion in the corner. Another girl went down for the count!!! Secretly I was glad I wasn't the only one and surely I wasn't the only one who thought the room was hot. I felt bad for my BIL and SIL though. Your wedding is a day you dream of your entire life and you sure don't need two people passing out during your ceremony! That's the first time I've ever passed out or have been anywhere and seen it happen for that matter.
And for what it's worth I felt great the rest of the day (eye roll).

The temple is the place to faint, I guess. I have seen 3 (!!!) people faint at the temple, and only one person faint in any other place in my entire life. Odd. My Grandparents are temple workers and say they see people faint a lot there...
P.s. Glad you are okay.
HAHAHAHAH I heard about this!!! So funny! I am glad your ok though :) hehehehe
That is so funny. Its crazy what happens when you get hot and have to stand for a while. Glad you didn't hit your head.
We all have funny fainting stories. I fainted at the dermatologist while getting a mole removed. Thanks for sharing your great story. I guess that is one way to get someone to give up their seat for you.
Don't worry. My grandma used to work in the Provo temple and they would ALWAYS tell people not to fast before coming to the temple because people faint so often there. Not that you were fasting, but I thought you might like to know that apparently people faint at the temple all time.
And someone else fainted too!?! It'll make a great story for years to come!
That is so crazy two in one ceremony. I've fainted at the temple when we were proxies for some sealing's. Crazy! I'm glad you are alright and that you were able to be there for the sealing.
Don't worry about it. It will help us remember the special day even that much more! I'm glad you felt better the rest of the day. Thanks for your support!
Oh no! Not fun! Though, I would be totally relieved that someone else fainted.
Next time someone gets sealed in there, they should hand out little monogrammed fans or something. ;)
