Carnival Time

Yesterday evening we took Kylie to the Fort Herriman Days celebration. It was really fun and Kylie was squirming from excitement when we walked in. We'd been hoping she'd enjoy the rides a little more but that kind of backfired on us. She tried the little train first and loved it (the cars are made out of barrels and is driven by a lawn mower). She kept shaking it to go faster! Then we decided to take her on the ferris wheel together. It guess I was imagining it would be a smoother type of ride than it was and I was awfully sick to my stomach when I got off. Kylie did pretty well until the last few revolutions and she was very much done. We were the last ones off so it took awhile to happen. After that ferris wheel Kylie refused to try anything else. Even though she had been saying "jump! jump!" all evening, she wouldn't even look at the bounce house. The ponies were good for petting but not sitting. She wouldn't even get back on the train that she liked so much at first! So lesson learned. Leave the rides that might make her nervous for the end. She did like the baby bunny at the petting zoo though. We ordered some yummy hamburgers and fries and came home with an animal balloon in tow. We had a really fun time!
