I love craft and design blogs. I have a few I visit and I love them. But I admit they are starting to grate on me a bit and add to my mommy guilt. And then I start saying things like "geez... I'm not scrapbooking my mailing labels like XXX just did when they sent out a package and what is wrong with me???" I guess it's pretty rational in my mind that with two young children I'm not really going to have time for crafts or the blog or email or much of anything else? I have a lot of "I want to do this and this and this" regarding a lot of projects in my life (let alone keeping up with the house and laundry) but I find myself being completely exhausted during the day. Having two little ones is much, much more time consuming that the first 18 months we just had Kylie. I knew I would be more busy, but I had no idea. I know being a mother is God's work and I'm where I need to be. But I think I need to cut down on checking out certain blogs because it just makes me feel like crap that I can't do even a tenth of what is on my want/wish list.
(potty training discussion so you can skip if you want)
Kylie is starting to pick up an interest in potty training again. Yes! A few months ago she did really well when she was running around in the buff but as soon as you put underwear we were having constant messes. So I ditched all efforts and went back to diapers. The last couple of days she's done really well with remembering to go on her own and even when she has underwear on. I'm still not quite comfortable taking her out of the house without a diaper yet but she's getting there. I'm SO GLAD she's finally at this point.
With that said Kylie got in trouble yesterday. She was wadding herself up quite a bit of toilet paper after she did the deed. I told her she couldn't use that much and pulled off a smaller amount. So I go into the laundry room, the door closed behind me and I didn't watch her finish. The little stinker unrolled the entire roll of toilet paper into the toilet, flushed it which of course clogged and I come out of the laundry room finding toilet water overflowing everywhere. Jared saved my bacon when he got home and fixed the clog.
