Children's Discovery Museum

A couple week ago (okay, okay it was probably at least a month ago!) I met some of my friends at the Children's Discovery Museum in downtown SLC. Geez what a drive. What was I thinking driving to PC for four years straight?!?

Kylie absolutely LOVED this place! She played for hours and hours. I think we spent over five hours there and she was going non stop the entire time. She played for two hours just in the little grocery store area. Funny story- I was watching her from the benches and she had been playing with some play food behind a counter for quite awhile. One of the workers was organizing and putting away some of the food that had been left out. While Kylie had dashed over to a neighboring cupboard for something the worker grabbed a plastic loaf of bread that Kylie had been using and started to put it away. You should have seen Kylie! She totally went right up to the lady wanting her bread back. She gave it back to her and both of us just laughed at what had happened.

Kylie has really taken an interest in play kitchens and pretending etc. She's been earning a few coins doing small odd jobs around the house, pulling weeds etc so she can save up to help buy a "kitchen" for her birthday. At least that's the plan anyway. I'll occasionally ask her to do something when I'm outside and she'll say "coins? Kitchen?". She's a quick study. I was on our computer looking at play kitchens one day and you should have seen how fast she jumped on my lap pointing to the kitchens, was all excited and telling us which one she wants and why. And she requests pink of course. I think she requests everything in pink these days. Her learning her colors has been a slow process because everything according to her is "pink!".

Some pictures of our silly little goose...
