Blessing pictures
Here are some pictures from Kipton's blessing on May 2nd. Doesn't he look so handsome! I love the little bow tie. It was a wonderful day and we were so glad to see all of our family.
What have we been up too? Mostly busy taking care of two little sweethearts! In between that I've been working on a never ending list of craft projects I get my heart set on. I'm redecorating the guest room into Kylie's room and turning the nursery into a pink-free zone. So I've been trying to find fabric to make pillows for Kylie's room, finding fabric to make a new crib set, taking down some of Kylie's things in the nursery, repainting the nursery is on my list of to-do's, and working on few other projects for both of the rooms. Kylie's room is turning out SO cute. Coral pink, black and ivory. Love it. Kipton's room is going to be done in blue (almost aqua) and brown. I've been working on sewing projects too. Having a few sewing skills sure come in handy when you have a little girl. I made that green dress that Kylie is wearing in the pictures (it started as a pillowcase dress but that's what it evolved into), made a peasant blouse for her and I have plans to make her a twirl skirt soon. Today I've been making a bunch of bibs backed with chenille because Kipton is the king of spit-up. He can soak a bib in ten minutes flat and those tiny bibs you get from the store just aren't cutting it. He always looks like he's ready for a meal because he practical wears a bib at all times!
Kylie is growing up so fast on me. She's completely off of the binky now. I was completely shocked how easy the transition was for her. She was attached so much I feared the day that the binky would be gone. But she was ready and it coincided with her sleeping in her new bed so I think the change really helped. She's learning new words everyday and testing her boundaries all the time. She likes to make cookies with her dad and tells him "I'm cookie monster!" when she helps him. Did I tell you she loves cookies? Looooves them. She'd eat them all day if I let her. She isn't quite as obsessed over Elmo as she used to be but loves anything with puppies or dogs, Shrek, going to the park, reading books and likes watching the scripture mastery video's with Jared just before bedtime. She loves to imitate what the people in the pictures are doing.
I ended up enrolling her in a gymnastics class two weeks ago. She asks about her class almost everyday. I'm not sure how much she really gets out of it at this age but it gives us something to do and she absolutely loves it. So we'll try it out for now. Last Sunday we asked her what she learned in nursery and she replies.... "backflips!" ya right!
Kipton is four months old today and is such a happy little guy. He likes to sit in the bumbo we borrowed from a friend and has started cooing more and giving us smiles. He prefers mom over dad. He is eating about six ounces now at his feedings. His doctor appointment is next week but the bathroom scale says he's about twelve pounds. Kylie is constantly concerned about where he is and what "pictin" is doing.

Super cute dress! When I first saw the picture I was hoping that you had gotten a great deal on it because it looks like a super expensive botique dress. I wish I could sew....I have to get the manual just to thread the machine! Kipton is super cute too. You have really been lucky with you blessings!
Those are the cutest pictures ever!

So cute! It was so good to see you guys then too. I can't believe how fast he is growing up already! We always used the cloth diapers with Kaysen to catch the dribble during feedings or when he would spit up. He didn't spit up much, but when he did it caught all of it. They are super absorbent. If you haven't tried them yet, go grab some and give it a go. They are pretty cheap at Walmart, and you get like 12 of them.
I wasn't sure how to answer you question on My Dear Trash- So I just came over for a visit- New York & Company and Express have done so well for me. And a new discovery- Levis. I've passed up Levis a hundred times at the thrift store and for some reason bought 3 pair a couple of weeks ago- They all sold for 1 bid, but I started them at 7.00. I've continued to pick them up and they consistently sell. Hope this helps- and by the way- your children are beautiful.
Oh, that dress is beautiful! Good job! That little boy is getting bigger and is so handsome!
