so I know nobody cares but anyway...

Still trying to get the hang of the coupon thing. Here's my victory over Wal.greens over the past two weeks. Again I'm no expert, but for $13 I've managed to get...

2 big bags of M&M's... yum! ($3.80 for 2, received $1 RR)
2 tubes of Colgate Toothpaste ($8 for both, minus two $1 MFC =$6.00, received $4.5 RR and $2 RR)
1 Right Gaurd Deodorant ($3 minus $1 MFC, minus $2 RR= free)
1 Loreal Featherlash Mascara... which happens to be my fave ($3.99 on clearance, minus $2 MFC, minus $2RR= free)
5 Boxes of 36 count Tampons ($1.90 each on clearance= $9.50, minus $4.50 RR from colgate, minus $2 RR from Deodorant, minus $1 RR for M&M's= .40 cents each)

Sounds like a lot of work but it wasn't bad. I've decided some of it is just luck with what you can find in the clearance bin, and if it's something you'd need to begin with and combining the sales of the week.

I'm still not pleased with the grocery shopping through. Two weeks ago I got about $15 worth of grocery items for dirt cheap, but it literally took me three hours of running to three different stores, all while dragging a cranky Kylie around with me. I think I value my time a little more than that, even if it's just sitting at the playground watching our sweet munchkin. I've noticed a lot of the coupons for grocery items are things I'd never buy anyway, or they are for very overprocessed foods. So I think I'm just going to stick with the drug store type items and cereal. We go through cereal at this house like you wouldn't believe. Walg.reens is literally about three minutes from my house which helps.

I know how you feel. I tried the coupon thing but gave up. I decided that it wasn't worth fighting my kids at all the stores for saving 15 bucks on stuff that I don't normally buy anyway. Plus and the coupon clipping, organizing, it was not my thing. It is just really hard to do with kids. I am now one of the many Costco fans. Instead of saving with coupons I save buy buying in bulk. It really works great for us!

I've just gotten into the coupon conspiracy as well. I'm finally getting the hang of it and realizing that you just have to let go of the frustrating moments. I find that if I go to the store in the morning that the sale starts or they have restocked, then it's much easier! Good luck!
