Good Day

but Y*A*W*N I am so tired!

This morning I was up early and brought out some of our things to our neighbors yard sale. My friend Ambra is moving soon :( and they were also trying to clean out their clothes that their daughter had grown out of. So I got the pleasure of spending an hour yesterday at her house, rummaging through her bins and making a pile of cute things for Kylie to grow into in the next few years. She made a good sale off of me by time I had that pile of clothes, two pairs of shoes for her, a new doll and a toy. I also ran up the road to our other friends yard sale and scored some cute items for my little nephews. I have to say that my neighbors have my similar tastes in clothes which made it very fun and not frustrating, unlike with some yard sales I've been to in the past.

Mid morning I found out from Ambra and her mom that Kneaders was having free french toast for moms so I ran over there to get some. I've been skeptical in the past, but it met all the rave reviews I've heard about their french toast. Yum! I didn't sell as much stuff as I wanted to at the yard sale but it was fun. My first time doing anything like that. And Kylie had a good time playing with our neighbors and riding around on their toys. She is so stinking cute!

After lunch Kylie went down for a nap, and Jared watched her while I drove to my appointment to donate some blood to the blood bank. They call me every 3-4 months to try to get me to come in. So after being bleeding like a stuck pig (j/k) I ran over to Home Depot where it was a zoo. I don't think I've ever seen so many people there at once. Everyone, their neighbor, their doctor and their dog were at the Home Depot in Murry today. I got a few shrubs for our backyard and was happy to see my little one again. I love walking in the door and she'll run up to us and give us a big hug. It's the best.

Tonight Jared took me to dinner to Applebees (my choice) for mother's day. We haven't been out to eat at a restaurant in so long! We were trying to remember and the last time we went was back in November. Kylie did pretty well, but still was a handful at times. She wanted to eat her crayons, make friends with the neighbors sitting next to us, play with the salt and pepper packets, and when all else failed she started squawking when she was being forced to sit in the booster instead of next to us. And she chucked a piece of hard boiled egg from my salad into the isle as hard as she could.

All in all it was a great day. But I'm very tired.

Today was also National Birthmother's Day-- May 9th.

May blessings rain down on them.

(We love you Abbie and hope you had a great day too!)
